Do you live in a city, the suburbs, or a rural area of the country?
Are people all that different based on where they live? Or do the different surroundings reveal human nature in slightly different, nuanced ways?
As you can tell from the title of this blog, I live in the city.
When I tell a story about city life to someone else, I don't typically talk about the big, fantastic events that go on here in DC except if they ask me. Rather, I usually share a genuine, unvarnished nugget or "snapshot" of city life, whether good or bad. This usually opens up a conversation about human nature, what moves us, how we affect others, and how life is or could be.
On this blog, I will share stories about city life with you and I hope that it also opens a "conversation," whether you share your thoughts directly with me or not!
My plan is to post once a month. And when I visit other cities, I suspect that I will share a snapshot or two from those cities as well.
So let's see how this goes!
